Insango is expanding its portfolio in shipowner’s liability insurance

On 14 October 2025, the Non-Commercial Organization POVS “Insango” entered into a shipowner’s liability insurance contract with Transrefflot LLC for the refrigerated vessel Progress (GT 4,295; year built 1988).
The Insurer’s limit of liability under the policy is set at the equivalent of USD 41.5 million.

The insurance policy protects the shipowner against the risk of unforeseen expenses arising from harm caused to third parties, including but not limited to liability under:

• the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage (2001);
• the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks (2007);
• the Merchant Shipping Code of the Russian Federation (Articles 331, 334, and 335 of Chapter XIX) for damage in connection with the sea carriage of dangerous and harmful substances.
