Vsevolod Sibirtsev, the flagship of the Russian fishing fleet, has been insured under the shipowner's liability insurance contract

NCO POVS Insango has concluded two liability insurance contracts in respect of the floating vessel Vsevolod Sibirtsev, owned by AO Yuzhmorrybflot (Dobroflot Group of Companies, Vladivostok). The first contract provides for annual coverage of the shipowner's liability to the crew members in accordance with the requirements of the Maritime Labor Convention 2006 (MLC 2006) for the total insured amount of 70,650,000 rubles. The second - with an insurance sum of 110 million dollars protects the shipowner in case of damage to third parties and related financial risk of unforeseen expenses, including under the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Fuel Pollution (2001) and the Nairobi International Convention on Shipwreck Removal (2007).

“Vsevolod Sibirtsev” Russian fish canning floating base, the largest vessel of this type in the world. It was built in 1989 in Finland at the Rauma Repola shipyard. It is rightfully considered to be the pride of the Russian fishery complex. Length of the vessel - 179.3 meters, height from keel to keel - 45 meters, displacement - 26.6 thousand tons, width - 28 meters. By its technical characteristics the vessel is unique - its capacity allows to produce four types of products: frozen, canned, preserved and feed (fish meal and fat). The total volume of daily raw fish processing reaches 650 tons.

The crew of about 470 people is provided with quality living conditions for work at sea. The cabins are comparable in comfort to hotel rooms, and all crew members have access to free Wi-Fi to communicate with their relatives and friends during voyages. There are two saunas, a swimming pool, table tennis tables, a cinema, a conference hall, an equipped gym and a full-fledged licensed medical center - a hospital on board. The Vsevolod Sibirtsev hospital is considered the best among the vessels of the Russian fishing industry.

The hospital includes an operating room, a dental office with modern equipment, a gynecological office, a physiotherapy room and four four-bed wards. The work of the hospital is provided by 5 medical workers. A helipad is equipped on board the mother ship, thanks to which emergency evacuation of seafarers by air ambulance is possible.
