Insango insured the risks of ship construction at the shipyard

NCO POVS Insango entered into a ship under construction insurance contract with a coverage limit of RUB 226.8 mln. Insurance territory - within the port or place of construction of the insured vessel, as well as within 250 nautical miles from the port or place of construction during sea trials. For insurance purposes, the shipyard (on the Insurer's recommendation) has engaged an independent surveyor for risk assessment according to JH143A standard, in accordance with the recommendations of the Joint Hull Committee (2003). The contract provides indemnification of the Policyholder for:
losses due to loss (destruction) of the insured vessel;
expenses for repairing damages to the hull, mechanisms, machinery, equipment and devices of the insured vessel;
losses, expenses and contributions for the general accident on the share of the insured vessel;
expenses for salvage of the insured vessel;
expenses for prevention or reduction of losses.

Sberbank Insurance Ltd. acted as a co-insurer for the risk.
